WOW, THIS CHANGED JUST A LITTLE BIT.

I drew the original at a time when I had just learned how to make lightsabers in Flash...they seemed passable at the time, and no sooner had I learned it, EVERYONE got lightsabers...because I'm such a geek that way.

Probably one of my best efforts with lightsabers was a pic where I pitted my character, Aldran, against everyone's favorite Sith duelist, Darth Maul. Back then, the story was that Aldran was also a Sith apprentice, but ended up having to fight Maul for the right to remain so. My guy not only lost the fight, he also got both forearms lopped off and irreparably broke both legs trying to escape, which he only managed because he'd fallen too far to capture. He then went on to get a black lightsaber and fight by his own code of ethics, being neither Jedi nor Sith.

In a nutshell, it was all pretty whacked.

Three years and a total overhaul later, Aldran still gets his butt kicked, since we all know Maul didn't die until Obi-Wan made him a half-off sale, but I decided to give him a blue lightsaber...just because I could. I'm not really a fan of the same two lightsaber colors being used against each other anyway.

As far as the lightsabers, I switched from Flash to Gimp. I got a great lesson from this fellow [link] He also has a video where he changed Anakin/Darth Vader's lightsaber to red in the final fight of Episode III, so if you were disappointed by the lack of sith blades, check it out...it's awesome.
