This was what I call cosmetic surgery on artwork.

For those who remember my old gallery over at ~Aldran, this is probably familiar. In fact, it's a rather extensive edit of this piece [link] which was done in early 2006, before I started overhauling my style, and longer still before I used digital lineart or coloring.

Two years later, a lot has changed. I left the outfits the same for the sake of comparison (I may redo both for the sake of a true update), but aside from that, there are a TON of changes I've made. The background was one of them, since I couldn't do a good landscape for beans (and still can't, really), but you'll probably also notice that while Fox stayed relatively the same from old to new, Krystal...well, she changed a LOT. I made her way too short in the original, forcing me to stretch the lineart considerably (as well as adjust the positioning of her arm), and since I still wasn't good at capturing feminine qualities in the face, I ended up redrawing her entire head.

It's funny that this picture depicts Fox breaking away from Krystal, only to see Nintendo do it for real several months later in Command. There were actually a lot of coincidences between my project and the DS game, so you can imagine I was very happy with the end product...multiple endings aside. :XD:

Fox and Krystal belong to Nintendo. Art belongs to me.

1.the ho hum ending has the group breaking up

2. Ending "goodbye foX" is a cannon ending. for fox anyway! ^^;
