Yes, you're reading that right. Art from 2000. What the heck am I thinking. :XD:

At this point, one of the few animals I hadn't touched on in my art was foxes, so I was scrambling to find whatever would suit my pen...believe it or not, if you've ever seen the drawing of Fox in the Super Smash Bros. 64 manual...well, that's where I got my original style for drawing Fox from. Sadly, I couldn't even replicate that. :XD:

Krystal was based off of my skill at that point (with some modifications for a potential story which never happened), though as you an tell by the muzzle, I wasn't in a solid phase with anthros. In fact, I gave up drawing them soon after this, which is why the next example comes two years later, shortly after I originally joined DA in spring 2005 (No Slippy's were actually harmed in the making of this chronology).

I revamped my style a bit after repeated comments that Krystal looked like a guy (well, all my females looked like guys, actually :XD:), then a few months later, I started getting a better grasp on anatomy, though as you can probably tell by Fox's face, I was starting to get frazzled by my own style. When I revamped the facial features, I finally brought the duo back together for a jab at Command in the fall, where they're quite clearly different, but it would be another year or so before I drew Star Fox again. Once Fox and Krystal were back in the fold, they were digitally colored, though the lineart was still traditional. That changed in 2008, leading to their current look.

:phew: That's a lot, eh? I think I've improved just a bit over the years...:P

Fox and Krystal belong to Nintendo. Art belongs to me.

I love Fox's expression in Fall 2007. However the 2008 picture made me fall out of my chair with laughter.

Wow.
If I can find one of my StarFox drawing from 03 I should post that with a remix of that picuter as my current style.
You can really tell the difference, nice work.

i lieks how you drew the frontal view in the current the way you just drew the nose there it doesn't seem to show any sign of the muzzle nevertheless the white boundary on the face shows a visualization of that there is a muzzle looks very simplified to me to the fact that the top jaw seems to keeps its posture and the bottom jaw seem to do what ever you do to it. so overallz.... Great progression love your style of Anthro Characters and artwork, watching to see more. =3
